of like-minded people.
Another invitation
to become one of the troupe.
I have joined such groups before.
They seem so kind.
But how do they know our minds are alike?
What if I committed the crime
of being unlike-minded?
Would they be dislike-minded
toward me?
And what if I mind being like-minded?
After all, why should I be?
Can we no longer agree
to disagree?
It’s a minefield,
this “like-minded” territory.
If you don’t mind
I think I’ll stay behind.
I have made up my mind
to talk instead to the trees.
